Hello Ian,
Sorry, I have really been meaning to send you a comment from the first day I joined! How are things going at the council? Are they ready to throw out all that MS SQL, Unix, or what ever stuff and install a New VS running VS MUNICS again?
Seriously though, do you think the idea of offering a hosted New VS running PACE so that any of the former Municipal Council's MUNICS databases could be run again for archival purposes (there used to be about two dozen of them) may still have merit? Some of the smaller council sites in particular seemed to indicate an interest in possibly having that option but often in those cases the former MUNICS involved people have since left or retired. I would greatly value your opinion on that possibility as I believe you have continued to attend conferences where you occasionally still see some of the old-timers!

Welcome, Ian! It has been some time since we communicated. I'm pleased to report that we have several systems in Australia now, and more in sight.
